I teach by combining traditional sacred geometry construction techniques and mandala design using modern drawing resources. This approach opens up the potential to create individual, beautiful and meaningful structures that are both visually stunning and spiritually uplifting.
I myself, am 'vintage' trained, as a three-dimensional designer from the 1980s when pencils, Rotring pens and drawing boards were the tools of the trade for me, (and still are in these classes!). This was followed by training as a signwriter and becoming an interior decorator, muralist, special effects painter, gilder and stenciller. These creative skills have all involved some form of geometry, using shape, space and measure and have proved invaluable. But, I hasten to add, that I am no mathematician!

Welcome to the Sacred Art of Geometry and Mandala Drawing column!
As a branch of architecture and nature herself, you will use technical drawing and design skills to create intricate and meaningful pieces of art. Located in the beautiful region of Devon, UK, where I sometimes draw inspiration from the natural surroundings and incorporate them into my work. At the core of this approach is the belief that geometry and mandala drawing hold a deep spiritual significance.
